Olive oil producer Vebija Abazovic, from Pecurice near Bar, has introduced modern technology into his olive oil production. His main product is the high quality extra virgin olive oil ‘Mrkovski cekin’, which has won awards at fairs in Bar, Split, and Novi Sad. The brand, which produces both virgin and extra virgin olive oil, connects high-quality eco-food production methods with the older tradition of olive growing in this part of the Montenegrin coast. The Abazovic family grove includes an olive tree that is 2056 years old , situated just next to the family house. The family also grow many kinds of fruit and vegetables, as well as producing olive oil based cosmetics.
