The route starts at the Old Town of Bar. Lying 4 km away from the new town of Bar, Old Bar is a fascinating place. Protected on three sides by cliffs and by ramparts along its western side, this protected place is a portal to the turbulent history and medieval civilizations of the region. Sample delicious local cuisine in the town’s restaurant and then wander the winding streets and little squares to explore some 240 buildings which have been preserved as ruins. Surrounding the town are beautiful olive orchards and breath taking viewpoints. End your walk with a refreshing visit to the natural spring of Bulina Voda.

  • Old Bar

    The Old Town of Bar is the largest urban agglomeration among the ruins in Montenegro and a rich historical site. It is located about 4 km outside today’s Bar it is situated on a large rock and is protected by cliffs on three sides and by rampart walls along its western side. The town hosts the remains of 240 buildings in ruins with narrow winding streets and irregular-shaped squares. The buildings were made of hewn stone and built as one or more storey-buildings.

  • Bulina Voda

  • Olive Ochard "Sveti Vic"

    The Olive Ochard “Sveti Vic” begins the old olive road that leads out of Old Bar. This road joins Old Bar with the western orchards all the way to Zubci village.

  • Markoc Krs

    Markoc Krs is a scenic viewpoint located inside an olive orchard. The breathtaking views take in the sea and the surrounding olive trees.
